JPE Media Academy
Complex information shouldn't stop with the people who understand it.
JPE Media Academy prepares journalists, researchers, educators, communicators, and institutions to translate research, data, policy, and subject-matter expertise for public understanding.
Our curricula are grounded in the IPAR Method™ — Issue, Policy, Analysis, Resources, a structured methodology developed through years of applied journalism, research translation, and public-interest communication.
Through working labs, professional education, and institutional training, participants learn how to preserve the depth and credibility of complex information while making it meaningful and accessible to the people it was ultimately created to serve.
This is where expertise learns how to travel.

The Foundational Text Behind the Framework
The IPAR Method™ was formally codified and published in 2023 by Nia Jovan Andrews, MJur, under Jones Publishing & Enterprises.
Developed in response to persistent gaps in civic literacy and public understanding, the landmark workbook serves as the foundational source material for JPE Media Academy curricula. Rather than presenting abstract communication theory, the text introduces a structured, replicable four-part methodology—Issue, Policy, Analysis, Resources—for translating complex information into clear, contextualized, narrative-driven public information.
The methodology was developed through years of applied work with the kinds of information communities are routinely expected to navigate: municipal records, epidemiological and public health data, research findings, policy documents, and other forms of institutional information.
When organizations enter a JPE Media Working Lab, they are not simply attending a training session. They are entering an applied learning environment built around a methodology developed and refined through four years of practice—one designed to strengthen the bridge between those who produce and hold complex information and those responsible for translating it for public understanding.
